Sky Design engraves images, text and images in 3D inside glass.

The company uses a special laser which penetrates the outside of the glass leaving it untouched. The laser then engraves inside the glass by making thousands of tiny fractures (5 fractures per mm), to reproduce the chosen design or image.

Sky Design can work from 3 different types of files.

  1. A simple photo can be reproduced inside a number of different gifts ranging from paperweights to keyrings.
  2. Artwork supplied in eps or Adobe Illustrator format enables us to extrude any design and reproduce the design in 3 dimensions within the glass.
  3. We can work with most 3D formats. Dxf is the main type of 3D file we work with.

This is a cad format and allows us to reproduce any 3D inside glass.

We have recently started working with a number designers to apply this technology to interior design.
